Backyard Bonfire

Are you thinking about sending your child to the Jenks Academy and wish to learn more?

Join us in Chestnut Hill on Tuesday, November 16 from 6:30-8:00pm for an evening around the fire with Principal Corinne Scioli and a few members of the Friends of Jenks (FOJ) and the Jenks Home and School Association (HSA).

This event is meant for prospective families and guardians who are considering Jenks for their child and is in lieu of our regular joint FOJ + HSA monthly meeting.

Light refreshments will be served.

The Backyard Bonfire will be held outdoors at the home of Jenks parents in Chestnut Hill. The address (which is located within walking distance to Jenks) will be provided to those who register closer to the date.

Please note that this event is for fully-vaccinated adults only (masks are optional outdoors).

Infants under twelve months old are welcome.

If you have any questions or require more info, please contact info@friendsofjsjenks.org.

Congrats, Class of 2021!

On June 9th, 2021 Jenks faculty, staff, students, and their families gathered together in person to celebrate the Class of 2021 at the 8th Grade Closing Ceremonies. This event was held outside in the school yard and thankfully the weather cooperated! After a challenging virtual school year the graduating class and their teachers were able to gather together, safely distanced, to celebrate their achievements.

The event began with a welcome from Principal Mary Lynskey before Jadyn Dutton, Class of 2021 Valedictorian, took the podium. After a few poignant words and the presentation of awards (recipients listed below) there was a tribute to parents and the presentation of certificates by teachers Mr. Jim Hilburt and Ms. Stephanie DeMaio.

Principal Lynskey then gave an emotional closing - her last after her 14 years at the Jenks Academy for the Arts and Sciences - as she retires this July.

Congratulations, Class of 2021! We are very proud of you and wish you all the very best!
